For over 16 years Westridge Counseling’s lead therapist, Ingrid McCarty, has been a conduit of change for individuals, couples, and families.

Ingrid McCarty is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. Ingrid practiced internationally in Germany before moving to St. Louis in 1994. She received her Masters in Social Work with a specialty in family therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

As valedictorian of both her undergraduate and graduate degree programs, Ingrid combines both professional excellence and knowledge to help children, adolescents and adults create positive change. Additionally, as a mother of a disabled child, Ingrid is personally aware of how even the most difficult situations can be overcome and ultimately turned into strengths.
